These warblers are common throughout much of Canada and North America at some point during the year. During winter months, they migrate to the Southern U.S. and Central America. During fall and winter, they feed on berries, nectar and seeds. In spring and summer, insects make up most of their diet. Females build their nests from plant materials, while males defend the nest and surrounding territory.
