Common Yellowthroat
102355
Common Yellowthroats are found in marshlands, fields and wooded areas throughout much of the United States. They may be seen climbing on grass stems or hiding in vegetation. The males' bright yellow throats and black faces help identify them from other warblers. Yellowthroats eat a variety of insects and spiders. They build their nests in cattails or shrubs using dried grasses and weeds.
