Bobolink
70087

Bobolinks are found in large flocks in open fields and meadows across the northern United States during the summer.  They winter in South America.  They feed on seeds and insects in large numbers, and make their nests on the ground in tall grass.  Their lively song sounds like their name.  Field mowing by farmers can destroy nesting sites of this WatchList species.  Wintering habitats are also threatened by destruction and pesticide application.
