Beautiful flute-like songs signal the arrival of spring and the Wood Thrush. Found during the summer throughout the eastern United States, this thrush species inhabits forests and park areas. Insects, fruits and berries make up their diets. Wood Thrushes nest in trees and are on the Audobon WatchList program because they are currently declining in numbers due to cowbird parasitism and habitat loss.
